Albert Bainbridge IVNorthJersey.com

The NFL offseason is in full motion with the 2024 Draft in the rearview mirror and rookie camps underway across the league.

The next big domino to fall comes Wednesday, when the 2024 NFL schedule for all 32 teams will be released.

BREAKING NEWS: Aaron Rodgers, Jets to open 2024 season on Monday Night Football

Thanks to pre-set divisional rotations and knowing where teams finished in each division since early January, the Jets' opponents for next season have been established for quite some time.

What we'll find out Wednesday night is when and where the Jets will play the rest of their games in 2024, especially with a potential multitude of games in primetime or stand-alone slots with the return of QB Aaron Rodgers.

Here's what you need to know about the upcoming release of the Jets' 2024 schedule:

When will the NY Jets 2024 schedule be released?

The NFL will release the entirety of next season's schedule on Wednesday, May 15 at 8 p.m.

Who do the NY Jets play at home in 2024?

Per usual, the Jets will play their six games against their AFC East rivals -- the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. This year, Gang Green will square off against the AFC South and NFC West. The Jets will take on Houston Texans, who have the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year quarterback in C.J. Stroud, and the Indianapolis Colts, who will be getting back QB Anthony Richardson, who missed the final 12 games of 2023 due to season-ending shoulder surgery, at MetLife Stadium.

The NFC West teams coming to East Rutherford are the Los Angeles Rams, who will be without three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald following his retirement at the end of last season, and the Seattle Seahawks, who no longer have head coach Pete Carroll -- who also coached the Jets for a season in 1994 -- at the helm after 14 years in the Pacific Northwest.

Who do the NY Jets play on the road in 2024?

As they do each year, the Jets will travel to Foxborough to face the Patriots, western New York to play the Bills and South Beach to take on the Dolphins. Other AFC opponents include the PIttsburgh Steelers with new QBs Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in the mix, the Jacksonville Jaguars, who missed the playoffs after an 8-3 start in 2023, and the Tennessee Titans, who added veteran wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd and running back Tony Pollard on offense to surround second-year QB Will Levis.

The three NFC teams heading to MetLife Stadium this season are the Minnesota Vikings, a former divisional rival of Rodgers, the San Francisco 49ers, aka the reigning NFC champions, and the Arizona Cardinals, who selected WR Marvin Harrison Jr. -- son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison -- with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Where do the NY Jets play the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings?

It's not out of the realm of possibility that the Jets' will be across the pond to play in London next season for the first time in three years. Two of their road opponents -- the Jaguars and Vikings -- were both announced in early January to host games in England in 2024.

The Jets have played in the U.K. twice so far, beating the Dolphins, 27-14, on Oct. 4, 2015 at Wembley Stadium. Six years later, they lost to the Atlanta Falcons, 27-20, on Oct. 10, 2021 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Will NY Jets play games on any significant dates or holidays in 2024?

Since Gang Green doesn't have the Philadelphia Eagles or Green Bay Packers on their schedule this upcoming season, they were ruled out when those two teams meet in Week 1 on Sept. 6 at Corinthians Arena in Brazil.

While not impossible, the Jets will all-but-likely be ruled out for this year's Black Friday game on Amazon after hosting the inaugural event versus the Dolphins last November.

What are the NFL's rules on flex scheduling?

Here's what to know about how certain games can be changed and flexed for the 2024 season:

  • Sunday Night Football:Weeks 5-10, up to twice permitted; Weeks 11-17, at the league's discretion.
  • Monday Night Football:Weeks 12-17, at the league's discretion.
  • Thursday Night Football:Week 13-17, up to twice enabled.
  • Sunday afternoon:Can be moved between 1 p.m., 4:05 p.m., or 4:25 p.m., as well as can be shifted to Sunday night, Monday night, or Thursday night.
