Awkward fumble between Han Solo and Princess Leia

One widely known blunder on the film set is when Princess Leia gets wounded, if you look closely, you can spot Han Solo accidentally grab her breast before immediately correcting himself.

In fact the accidental breast grab has been spotted by fans that it has its own thread on Reddit, where one person writes: "You can actually see Harrison Ford jerk his hand away when he realizes what he's done." Another adds: "Right after the cop, it seems she breaks out laughing and the scene cuts away."

Another fan explains it's not the only time in the Star Wars franchise that there's an awkward body language moment between the two: "He also does it, I believe, on the Millennium Falcon when he's lifting Leia off of his lap. It's more of a side-cop, but still."

Leia's memory

Leia says she remembers her mother from when she was very young, but this is impossible because Padma died in childbirth. However, some Star Wars fans believe she could be imagining her adoptive mother or potentially accessing visions.

One fan explained online: "I always thought she was talking [to] her adoptive mother who I believe was killed during A New Hope by DS1 and Tarkin." Another explained it in more detail as they wrote: "Leia doesn't remember her mother because she had life experiences with her. She remembers her mother through their connection in the Force. The "images and feelings" are the Force projecting to Leia about Padme." A third shared: "There's an explanation added to legends after the prequels that explained it as a little girl's imagination filling in gaps."

Han's debt to Luke doesn't add up

In Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, Han Solo tells Luke Skywalker, "Now I owe you one" after Luke rescues him. However, Han has already saved Luke twice, in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, so Luke has technically paid Han back for one rescue and reduced his debt to one.

Continuity errors

The film, which dates to 1983, has various errors with continuity where one shot may show something and the follow-up shot appears different. For example, Billy D Williams' character Lando Calrissian wears black gloves, but in close-up shots Lando is gloveless.

Another spot that many hardcore Star Wars fans have noted before is that Luke's lightsaber is originally blue in the teaser trailers and on the film's original posters, but is changed to green in the movies. This is because it clashes with the blue sky in the opening sequence.

In another error, a fan shared on IMDB: "When Vader is watching the Emperor attack Luke, his helmet is very dusty and what looks like streaks of finger marks can be seen on the helmet. In the next shot, just before Vader picks up the Emperor, his helmet has been cleaned and is shiny again."

Another fan spotted error was shared as someone else posted: "Before Leia is shot, the burn mark is visible on her poncho."

Factual errors

During the speeder bike chase, Luke Skywalker (played by Mark Hamill) avoids crashing into two trees that are close together by turning sideways, which would've actually pretty much guaranteed he would crash into them. When Luke chops Vader's hand off, wires hang out of his arm.
