Another Tuesday night in the gym between the Pacers Athletic Center and Finch Creek Fieldhouse is officially in the books. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from both locations this week to provide wall-to-wall coverage of the annual PAC Summer League which takes place each Tuesday night in the month of June. This week, the games served as a final tuneup for teams before taking part in the Charlie Hughes Showcase this coming weekend. Let’s take a look at some of the individual standouts from this week’s action.

State: Indiana
School: Warren Central
Club: Indiana Elite 3SSB
There is a reason why Craig was ranked as a Top 15 prospect in our initial Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings. He had a strong freshman season at Warren Central and will blossom into a larger role this coming year. We started to get a glimpse of that on Tuesday night and it should continue into the Charlie Hughes Showcase this coming weekend. Craig is a strong, bigger guard that plays through contact off of the dribble, has the athleticism to get up and finish at the end of his drives, and shoots a good percentage from three-point range. Really like his upside as a two-way guard.

Admittedly, we were not super familiar with this prospect here at Prep Hoops Indiana. In fact, I went over at halftime of Southport’s game against Warren Central to confirm who it was that was impressing me so much. Lloyd is a 6’6″ athletic forward that was arguably the most impressive defender I saw this week. He was consistently switching ballscreens and guarding 1-5 effectively for the Cardinals. Lloyd also rebounded at a high-level and finished above the rim several times. Under-the-radar prospect that appears ready to burst onto the scene.

CLASS 2025
State: Indiana
School: Ben Davis
There is obviously no shortage of talent for Ben Davis as they will once again be very good in 2024-2025. On Tuesday night, this 6’5″ rising senior forward flashed some really impressive things including knocking down a catch-and-shoot corner three. There has never been a question about what Parks can do as a rebounder, defensively, or finishing around the basket with his athleticism. However, if he can make open catch-and-shoot three-point shots with any consistency it will really take his game to the next level. One for college coaches to watch this weekend at the Charlie Hughes Showcase.

School: Cathedral
The offseason rumors were confirmed on Tuesday night at Finch Creek Fieldhouse as Top 15 Class of 2026 prospect Julien Smith Julien Smith 5'10" | PG Cathedral | 2026 State IN was officially in uniform and playing with Cathedral. Smith led Mt. Vernon (Fortville) in scoring as a sophom*ore averaging 14.4 points per game to go along with 5.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He gives the Fighting Irish yet another dynamic playmaker in the backcourt. On Tuesday night he shot the ball well from three-point range and was excellent distributing the ball in transition. His addition to Cathedral’s lineup is a big deal.

Southport came up just short in their matchup with Warren Central on Tuesday night, but Turner, along with Lloyd, really stood out for the Cardinals. We know Turner as a catch-and-shoot threat that can space the floor on the perimeter and make shots from beyond the arc. However, in this one, he showed off some ball-handling ability and consistently finished both at the rim and in their intermediate range off of the dribble. That part of his game appears to have expanded which will help take his game to the next level this season as he embraces more of a primary scoring role for Southport.

Like we said with his teammate Julien Smith Julien Smith 5'10" | PG Cathedral | 2026 State IN , this was our first live look at R’Mani Wells in a Cathedral uniform. We have long been high on this 6’5″ wing here at Prep Hoops Indiana and remain believers in his long-term potential. However, on Tuesday night, he showed that he is ready to start cashing in on that potential right now. Wells played very well with his new team showcasing the ability to shoot it from three-point range, rebound his area, and move around the floor very fluidly. The physical tools have always been impressive, and now the skill level is shining as well. He is poised for a breakout junior season that will catch the attention of college coaches at various levels.
