Then entering \\nas-ip-address into the explorer address bar should show you the shares. Use the real IP address of course, and be careful to use the correct slash.@Atterswrote:Laptop has Chrome and Edge installed, when I try to install inetexplorer I get a "not compatable with windows 11" error. You can try Edge in IE mode (just google it). That is supposed to work, but some folks have struggled with it.You can also download an old version of FireFox - 94.0.2 will work. Don't let it auto-update. More info is here:https://community.netgear.com/t5/New-ReadyNAS-Users-General/Workaround-for-ERR-SSL-VERSION-OR-CIPHER...Note there is an add-on for the v2, but not for the original Duo (v1). Many owners of the original Duo mistakenly think they have a v2.The original Duo (v1)runs 4.1.x firmwaresays ReadyNAS Duo on the front panelmay have other labels that say v2The Duo V2runs 5.3.x firmwaresays ReadyNAS Duo v2 on the front panelMessage 2 of 40Kudos Reply AttersAspirantMark as NewBookmarkSubscribeSubscribe to RSS FeedPermalinkPrintReport Inappropriate Content ‎2022-12-2212:03 AM ‎2022-12-2212:03 AM Re: ReadyNAS Duo v2 AccessHi supportThe Edge compatability toggle works. Thx. I can now see the ReadyNAS on the Window11 laptop. It is not allowing me to log on though.I have access to the ReadyNAS via an older laptop. The ReadyNAS access is set to users (not active directories). So question is, what is the user from a windows 11 laptop. It does prompt me or password for "Microsoft/'email address'". Do I create a user as prompted or do I have to change a setting in Windows 11?ThxMessage 3 of 40Kudos Reply StephenBGuruMark as NewBookmarkSubscribeSubscribe to RSS FeedPermalinkPrintReport Inappropriate Content ‎2022-12-2202:54 AM ‎2022-12-2202:54 AM Re: ReadyNAS Duo v2 Access@Atterswrote:I have access to the ReadyNAS via an older laptop. Do I create a user as prompted or do I have to change a setting in Windows 11?You can use the same username/password as you use on the older laptop - or if you wish, you can create a new user account on the NAS.I don't believe the email username format used in Microsoft accounts is accepted by your NAS. But you can set the default username the PC will use when accessing the NAS using the Windows Credential Manager. You can also save the password ther if you wish.Note that Windows treats the NAS hostname and the IP address as different machines - so if you access using both, you will need to set up two credentials (which can be identical if you wish).Just to be clear - this is a user-to-user forum, and I do not work for Netgear.Message 4 of 40Kudos Reply All forum topics Previous TopicNext Topic Top Contributors UserCount StephenB18Sandshark5REAC3tiff_lee1tigerten1 See AllDiscussion stats3replies ‎2022-12-2105:09 AM709views0kudos2in conversation Announcements
